Postpartum Care

I was born to be a postpartum doula.

I naturally fell into the role of a caregiver when my parents brought home my little sister. Throughout my childhood I remember being called on by the mothers in my neighborhood to lend a hand with their babies so they can cook a meal and take a shower, I adopted the role “mothers-helper”. As I continued on this path and furthered my education in newborn and family-centered care I have learned how valuable it is to have someone in the household available to tend to the families needs intuitively, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

“We loved having Gianna help us out during the postpartum period. It takes a lot to trust someone with your newborn baby overnight and we are so grateful for the rest she was able to provide us with during such a hectic time. Gianna always arrived early, was willing to help out in my way she could, while most importantly taking excellent care of our baby from night one. She is a natural when it comes to childcare and we would absolutely recommend her!”

Ways to Pay For Doula Care

Postpartum Doula care is eligible for reimbursement through Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance or the Catamount program, as long as you are enrolled in better beginnings. You may be reimbursed for nine hours of postpartum care under homemaker services.

You can also add doula care to your baby registry! Gift certificates are available and make the perfect gift for an expecting parent. Contact me for more information.

Lastly, ask me about the doula care fund, donations by community members to help fund doula care for others. I am always willing to work with extended payment plan options as needed.
