Hi, I am Gianna
I am a Vermont based birth and postpartum doula, photographer, and childbirth educator with a holistic background who believes in the power of intuition, information, and support during this transformative experience, from maiden to mother.
Alongside my passion for birth, I host various classes in Chittenden County including; intuitive movement, yoga, breathwork, reiki energy healing, abdominal massage, postpartum and labor preparation workshops. These classes are often donation based, with the intention to create community and make deep connections through healing work.
About Me
I graduated college with a bachelors degree in psychology, with a focus on child development. I was teaching yoga at the time and working in childcare, all I knew for certain was I wanted to study something that would grow my passion for wellness, and leave me equipped to support people through alternate healing methods.
As a college student, I was invited into the home of a postpartum family with newborn twins and fell in love with postpartum care and birth support. With almost a decade of experience in child care, five years as a professional nanny and postpartum doula, I have a unique understanding of familial systems and the ways families are needing support in todays society.
I lead a simple and calm life, which is reflected in the work that I do and in the containers I am able to create during the birth and postpartum time. My days are filled with baby laughs and puppy snuggles, I hope that never changes. In my free time, you can find me at the library picking out my next book, swimming in the lake, or cooking in the kitchen.... But, thats enough about me! What kind of support are you looking for?
Qualifications
I completed Indie Births extensive full spectrum doula training in 2021. This 6 month training combined ancient wisdom with modern science. The curriculum left me with a better understanding of physiological birth, nutrition, hormones, fertility, and interventions, and has left me with a wealth of resources I use on the daily basis as I support mothers on their journey from conception to postpartum. My teachers have a podcast you can tune into here, it is a great resource for expecting families!

I am a member of Birth Belongs to Women, a mentorship group with weekly opportunities for continuing and deepening education.

I pride myself in always being a student and am continually enrolled in new courses that support my growth in the field. I work with local practitioners to deepen my herbal, abdominal massage, reiki, and yoga practices, all in or near Chittenden county.
